Ant Walk

”ANT WALK” is a project in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, which seeks to provide the community with a space where they can carry out their commercial and recreational activities.
One of the great challenges of this project was to achieve adequate harmony between the existing foliage and the proposed roofs.

The concept was based on the function that the space would have – itinerant commerce -, understanding the merchants as a great community that works together and strives for its objectives by taking care of each other, hence our design proposal and name „Ant Walk”: based on the analogy of the form of organization and work dynamics that these insects have to provide themselves with resources.
