From theory to practice

At the beginning of November a group of students from the Richard Riemerschmid vocational college in Cologne visited our company. The young students are in the process of undertaking an apprenticeship as technical fabricators.

Due to the fact that many of them work with coated composites in their factories, there was a great deal of interest in how they are produced.
Equipped with safety shoes, safety vests and protective goggles, the apprentices were guided in small groups through our production.

Subsequently, the head of the testing laboratory explained the different measuring and test procedures that are necessary to determine the technical data. The apprentices had a great theoretical knowledge of this part, but the experience in producing and testing the material in practice was found very useful and impressive by all participants.
