| The AIRTEX® product line |
 AIRTEX® was developed by Mehler Texnologies especially for sun protection applications such as sunroofs and sun sails, but also for sun umbrellas, awnings or gazebos. The textile surface structure provides the material with a unique character.
AIRTEX® is a 100% polyester fabric coated on one side with acrylate and impregnated with a finish based on Teflon.
AIRTEX® is very light-weight and convinces by its specific characteristics:
- The material has a colored coating and is not dyed. AIRTEX® has a very good light, weather and color authenticity in connection with high quality UV stabilizers. This guarantees long durability and protection against bleaching and greying.
- The high tear-out force and the very good continued tear-out force combined with high dimensional stability and small extensibility or shrinking characteristics allow designs in a large variety of shapes.
- Based on its acrylate coating, the polyester fabric is clearly better protected against aggressive ambient impacts and therefore has a better shape stability.
- The fungicide finish prevents the development of fungus and mildew.
- The fabric absorbs almost no moisture and provides a better water tightness than uncoated materials.
- It is very low-maintenance and washable.
AIRTEX® is an ideal advertising carrier due to its good printability.
