At this year's LSAA (Lightweigh Structures Association Australia) conference it was clear that ecology, sustainabilty and recycling concepts are much in demand.
Mehler Texnologies was represented at the show by the company's project manager for textile architecture, Paolo Giugliano, and his sales agent, Brian O'Flaherty.
Mr Giugliano gave a number of talks explaining Mehler Texnologies' Eco-care concept and related activities in respect of all aspects of ecology and recycling possibilities. It became clear in the process that both the products themselves and the measures taken in their production offer great potential: as a differentiation from (cheap) Asian products that do not conform to European quality standards, especially as regards the use of components classified in Europe as harmful. It was evident that Vinyl 2010 and the European REACH directive with its recommendations and requirements can be seen as positive factors for the Australian market.
