The EU regulation REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation of Chemicals EC no. 1907/2006) entered into force on 01 June 2007. The regulation applies in all EU member states, and therefore the Federal Republic of Germany.
Since the publication of the list of candidates on 28 October 2008 the manufacturer, supplier and importer of products pursuant to Article 33 of REACH in a concentration above 0.1 % weight by weight (w/w) shall provide the recipient of the article with sufficient information, available to the supplier, to allow safe use of the article including, as a minimum, the name of that substance. Articles as per this regulation include technical textiles, coated fabrics, packaging material.
